Examples of cases we have treated at the clinic.
Our treatments are multi-pronged and usually involve a combination of internal herbal medicine, topical creams and washes.
Some minor dietary modification is sometimes required, however we do not advocate for strict elimination diets. It is our experience that these are difficult to sustain over time and often lead to more sensitivities in the long term. Treatment does not require expensive testing or blood work.

From our perspective, chronic skin problems will not be cured by topical treatments alone; the internal root of the imbalance must be addressed to get lasting relief. The holistic approach of TCM considers the whole person, taking into account multiple factors such as the digestion, sleep quality, stress and emotional states. Differentiation is made by visual inspection of the skin and how the skin fits within the overall presentation of the patient. Once a diagnosis is made the treatment aims at rectifying the underlying problems and imbalances as opposed to identifying singular causes of an illness and then treating the symptoms.

Treatment is multi-pronged and will usually involve internal herbal medicine, acupuncture, and dietary modification to address the underlying problem. Natural creams, ointments, and washes are prescribed to address the symptoms. Once the underlying problem is addressed and symptoms have resolved then treatment is no longer needed.

Treatment generally follows a 3-stage process:
1. Attack Stage: Reduce inflammation, stop itching, stop the condition progressing by treating the symptoms.
2. Harmonize Stage: Continue to treat remaining symptoms and begin to treat the root cause.
3. Consolidate Stage: Once symptoms have fully resolved, treat the root cause to stop recurrence and eliminate the need for additional treatments.
